I use KPYM with some Scanners.
When a Scanner loses his connection (ex. no more battery left) the user is not able to reconnect.
In the log I find entries like:
can't delete file C:\Program Files\KTS\log\active-sessions\[FILENAME]

What is the error on your client?
Can you also locate your scanner login attempt in the KTS log file and see what's written there?
Can you connect from another client (pc from example or another scanner) or all connections are blocked after the crash?
I think you can safely disregard the "can't delete file" errors.
