1) I've just installed the telnet server, but my second computer cannot connect to it. The ping command works OK, but the telnet client tells that it cannot open the connection.
2) How can I disable the login/password prompt?
3) How can I make a telnet program (command line or TUI) for the client interface?

1)... the telnet client tells that it cannot open the connection.
By default KTS will install as SSH server. If you need telnet server make sure you choose "install as telnet server" in the setup wizard.
If your computer is behind firewall/router you will have to first allow port 22(SSH) or 23(telnet) to accept connections from outside your machine.
2)How can I disable the login/password prompt?
You can use the default_user/default_pass for this(for telnet sessions only)
You can find more info here
3)How can I make a telnet program (command line or TUI) for the client interface?
Just create a regular console application. Any console application should work fine with KTS.

KTS uses the windows accounts to validate your login, so just use your windows account and password to log in

I am trying to login in to host A (running telnet server) from client B (running putty).
Kroum Grigorov says "KTS uses the windows accounts to validate your login, so just use your windows account and password to log in ".
Everybody is saying use username and password of Winnt account ???But I cant figure out where on earth I can find that information. If you are telling me its the same info shown in
Control Panel->User accounts of host A then i think you are wrong.
It doesn't work.
Bottom line--
I cannot login to host A from B by using information obtained from Control panel-->User accounts of A.
ANy help will be highly appreciated. I am confused.

> I cant figure out where on earth I can find that information.
In short, you should use the same login/password that you use to log into your windows on host A.
Note that you MUST have "Password protected" account, KTS will not log you in when running in SSH mode if your account does not have password.
>If you are telling me its the same info shown in

Yes these are the same accounts you see in Control Panel->User accounts, all you need is an account from "User accounts" AND the account password that you should already know.

I had the same problem...till I realized that just creating a password and logging out didn't do the job. I had to completely shutdown my system before it took the password and 'registered' it with KTS.
All works now.

If this is Vista you have to "enable" the telnet client first
l0c41://www.bridgetonova.com/2007/09/how-to-enable-telnet-in-vista.html
Anyway I can recommend you to use PuTTY instead
