Hi,
I made a special account for this, and made it telnetclients group. A bit of extra security. Then I denied the group to most of the system access.
Since I run a dbase5 for dos system on it, that will handle the rest. I dont use telnet for server admin, just to run dos applications..:-)
I dont know fro sure, but making your login account a member of telnetclients may help.. but I think it doesnt matter.

Creating a limited telnet group is good security measure, but it's not obligatory for accessing KTS.

KTS should run "out of the box" without any additional configuration.
If tou have made some config changes, uninstall KTS and then reinstall it to make sure KTS params are OK.
If your machine is in a domain log in with the full user name (user@domain).
