I am using the Van Dyke SecureCRT client and I get the following when trying to establish an ssh connection:

1188 : 1380 2007- 8-24 6: 4:56 765 : 0: connected to 208.41.111.163:4603
1188 : 1380 2007- 8-24 6: 4:56 796 : 0: ssh initialized
1188 : 1380 2007- 8-24 6: 4:56 937 : 0: can't read login
1188 : 1492 2007- 8-24 6: 4:58 875 : 0: shutdown
1188 : 1492 2007- 8-24 6: 4:58 875 : 0: session.exe end

I guess I might have the session setup parameters wrong in the client. I am using 3DES/MD5 with standard password authentication on port 22.

I just tryed KTS with the latest SecureCRT client and it works just fine

What I can recommend you is to get the lates KTS from the download page and install it, then try connecting to it using the default SecureCRT session options(don't choose the cyfers yourself).
If you still can't connect you can try to get also the lates SecureCRT from Van Dyke site(there's a trial available) and try if it works ( or just get PuTTy and use it instead).

Finally make shure you are starting SSH2 session from SecureCRT(and not SSH1) KTS is accessible for SSH2 clients only.
