Some characters don't make it through KTS
Fuzzy Lipchit Some characters don't make it through KTS

I have a handheld client that is attempting to send a "~" and "^" character into my application but for some reason it is being masked by the KTS Telnet server. Is there a reason that this is happening. I've looked at the telnetd.ini file and see the codes defined in there but they don't seem to be flowing into my application. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have this problem only when using the handheld client?
Is it working when you use PC telnet client?

This problem is present both on the handheld and through the PC telnet client.

OK, next questions:
Do you have this problem in your application only or "~" and "^" don't work at all for you?
Try to type ~ and ^ in cmd.exe and edit.com, are they OK?
Try these characters too in your app and in cmd.exe and edit.com ~!@#$%^&*() are they OK?

Well I figured out that problem related to the special characters not making through but now I've run into another problem. When I try to display special character on the screen such as (char)9660 which is '▼' it shows up as 'I'. I've tried adding values to the ini file but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated

Try setting KTS to export characters in UNICODE format.
